Assalamualaikum and hello! This is gonna be a brief post on my weekend gateway to Sungai Lembing, Pahang. I first stumbled upon this post by Fadza and Nina from Journeykita about their getaway account and I'm kinda inspired to go and experience it by myself. Actually I first learned about Time Capsule Retreat from somewhere I can't remember, you know when people share stuff on Facebook, hehe! It led me to Google for any good reviews about that place since I am a firm believer of reading blog reviews and I stumbled upon Journeykita blog, I became so happy after reading their positive experiences and I told myself, why not? 

I have weekend classes, hence finding a suitable date to go there was quite challenging. I finally got to clear my schedule on 17-18th October and did my room booking + bus ticket booking. I wanted to book my accommodation at the capsule but on the said date, it was fully booked so I took the cottage room instead, okay la since the price is cheaper and the room is more comfortable with its attached bathroom.

I took the express bus from Puduraya at 10am on Saturday morning, arrived Terminal Kuantan at 1.20pm in the afternoon and from there, I had to take Rapid Kuantan bus number 303 to Hentian Bandar and change to Rapid Kuantan bus number 500 to go to Sungai Lembing. The journey by bus from Hentian Bandar Kuantan to Sungai Lembing took me roughly around 45 minutes and if you're going there by bus as well, Sungai Lembing is the last stop so don't worry about getting lost or missing your stops. When I arrived at Sungai Lembing, I had my late lunch at the Medan Selera there (right in front of the bus stop) and the nasi ayam there was good and cheap!

Time Capsule Retreat is located just behind SMK Sungai Lembing, around 7 minutes walk from the bus stop. At first the owner of Time Capsule Retreat was quite worried if I might feel tired to walk there and she wanted to fetch me from the bus stop but since I arrived too late, she already left for Kuantan. I was actually dreading about how far I must walk but later I found out that "hey, it's not far at all and I really enjoy walking around here!". I didn't take any pictures of this place during the day because I arrived late and I was tired from the journey, muahaha! My room was spacious, comfortable, very clean and the attached toilet is big!

On Saturday, I spent my evening sightseeing the small town of Sungai Lembing before dusk and I spent the night appreciating how comfortable my room is and ate instant noodle as dinner XD at Time Capsule Retreat, you're allowed to use the kitchen and utensils but remember to wash everything properly and keep it back in the store after use. There are BBQ equipment provided if you wanna use them and at Time Capsule Retreat, the staffs there can prepare BBQ food for you if the request is for at least 6 pax, and the price will be RM28 per pax. You can also bring your own food for BBQ and just pay RM50 for charcoal and use all the BBQ equipment and utensils provided.

That night, the owner of Time Capsule Retreat, Mrs Young, whatsapped me to ask if I'm interested to join the trip to Rainbow Waterfall on Sunday morning. Since I don't have any plans, I said yes. The fee for Rainbow Waterfall trip is RM40 per pax. I woke up at 5.30am in the morning and my tour guide Simon fetched me and a group of Chinese fella from Time Capsule Retreat using his modified Hilux. We had breakfast first. Since I'm a Muslim, I had my breakfast at Kedai Kopi Salmah which only opens at 6.30am while the rest of them had breakfast at the food court, operated by Chinese hawkers and they start business as early as 5.45am.

At 7pm, we begin our journey to Rainbow Waterfall. It was an hour of bumpy ride through the woods and it was very awesome because we crossed streams, puddles, mud and we went up and down the jungle terrains. When the road ended, another chapter begins where need to do jungle trekking for 30 minutes to reach Rainbow Waterfall. Firstly, I had to change my Skechers to some random pair of rubber shoes because I clearly don't wish to wet my only shoes XD the rubber shoes was funny and it was too big for my size 6 feet but it was alright, I survived without any blisters or injuries.

We crossed the river first, and then the trekking begins. There was a rope for us to hold on to but the current was slow, no problem. I say the trekking was not hard for me because I love jungle trekking and at sections where it is a bit geographically challenging, you won't be in so much trouble because ropes are provided for extra support. I was among the first in my team to arrive because I was so excited and my pace was fast, hehe! Rainbow Waterfall is truly a place you must visit, the scenery there was breathtakingly beautiful and I absolutely have no regrets of paying RM40 to get there. Seriously worth it!

We left the place at 10.30am and went back to the small town of Sungai Lembing. I hate to pack back to KL but I have to :'( Well, even though I didn't get to do much but I really don't mind since my number 1 aim to go there is to recce the place and plan for my next trip. I now know that if I go there by bus, I'll need a maximum of 3 days and 2 nights to enjoy many attractions there. I will go there again next time with a better planning, proper budget and maybe some companions? Well, most importantly, I really had an amazing weekend at Sungai Lembing and I can't wait to go there again!

So, while I was scrolling down the timeline on Instagram yesterday, I accidentally saw a post by @fashionvalet with a hashtag of #fvtlngateway and I was like, "HOW DID I MISS THIS???". Yeah, such a sad life. Too busy with work and masters makes Mieza a loser on the net world. I have a day to think and to write. Being myself, I don't usually think to do crazy thinks, I just do it like Uncle Nike told me. Now I'm doing the post, hehe!

Dear Fashion Valet and The Luxe Nomad, I'd like to win a stay at Paresa Phuket on The Luxe Nomad because I never got to travel the world in style. This is my biggest confession, I am on the sore loser's side when it comes to fashion.

1. I believe that Fashion Valet is the perfect fairy-godmother to help me be a decent Muslimah in fashion.

I love Fashion Valet's offering and I always dream that, when one day I can finally have a wardrobe makeover, I will get everything from Fashion Valet. Now is the third month of my first job, and I am still lacking of good business wear that can perfectly cover my modesty but exudes the stylish aura. 2. I need a vacation. I haven't had a proper, relaxing vacation for ages and I'm going bonkers.

True story. Since I started my degree three years ago, I have been under great stress. Now I am working and continuing my master's degree at the same time, I fear that without such relaxing vacation, I will grow old faster than I thought. Actually my dream is to work now, save up enough to fund my dream and when the time comes, I'll go for a round-the-world tour. But why wait for "the right time" when this is the time? Lucky star from The Luxe Nomad galaxy, will you shine on me please ;)  I want to win this stay at Paresa Phuket, Heaven of All Heavens.

This is the post that I'll enjoy doing so much special for everybody :D Why? Because I'm gonna tell you about how marvelous and exciting The Lost World of Tambun Hot Springs & Spa is!! In fact, if I were given the chance to bring 1 attraction back home, I'll choose the hot springs. 

The hot springs here is open from 6pm to 11pm. The 7 pools that awaits here are Crystal Pool, Infinity Pool, Top of The World Pool, Foot Spa, Saphira's Lair, Lost World Steam Cave and Saphira's Baby Pool. Besides the pools, other attractions are The Geyser of Tambun and Crystal Spa.

1. Crystal Pool

This small pool was reserved for us Butterflies that night. It's a 40 degree Celsius closed pool (surrounded with brick walls and trees). There's also a table with canopy and chairs.

The name was given due to its crystal tiled floor that will glimmer in the sun and by nightfall it will be bathed with colorful lights, giving your dip in this pool a very exquisite and relaxing experience. Crystal Pool can be reserved as VIP pool for private functions.

2. Infinity Pool

This pool got its name due to its wide area, which can accommodate up to 300 people at a time. There's the Lost World Steam Cave connected to it. A bar too is set up just beside Infinity Pool. 

I really love this pool at night due to its pretty blue and purple lights. The dim yet vibrant colors made my dip very relaxing, plus there was not many guests as it was Sunday night, making me feel like a queen there :p The atmosphere there was indeed very serene, and I recall nearly falling asleep while dipping there, hahaha!

3. Top of The World Pool

This pool is located at the very top of The Lost World of Tambun Hot Springs & Spa. It is a 43 degree Celsius jacuzzi pool with massage water jets acting as therapeutic hydro-massage for muscles, joints and pressure points.

I was there with Sheila and Norfa. We can only be inside it for 15 minutes and cool down outside for at least 5 minutes before going back in. I really love the jets of hot water 'attacking' my body as it feels like you're being massaged. It took Sheila and Norfa twice to remind me about the 15-minutes rule and make me go out of the pool, hehe!

4. Foot Spa

Think you can only dip and rest in the hot springs? Naah, your feet needs some love too! This foot spa is specially designed for visitors to get a reflexology in hot water. The water inside this reflexology pool is 40 degree Celsius.

For optimum effect, visitors are advised to go around the pool for 5 times straight. I did it with an uncle I can call grandpa and he completed 5 rounds wayyyy faster than me >.< Shame on me I know. I'm not used to doing reflexology and my feet felt so painful walking on the stones. I had to restrain myself from quitting it halfway through. 

5. Saphira's Lair & Saphira's Baby Pool

Saphira's Lair was originally designed for children and Saphira's Baby Pool for toddlers with parental supervision. With temperatures ranging from 37-40 degree Celsius, the pool is 'guarded' by lion statues pouring hot water from its mouth. To suit its function for children, Saphira's Lair is decorated with colorful lights and I swear that this one is the prettiest pool of all at night. 

Saphira's Lair was the very first pool I went into in the evening. I was a bit shocked and first refused to get in coz of the hot water. But Sheila and Norfa coaxed me, saying that I have to dip in slowly to make my body accustomed to its temperature. They were true, after several minutes I was the one who doesn't want to get out of the pool :D

6. Lost World Steam Cave

Welcome to my favourite sauna! In this steam cave, detoxification will happen, leaving your skin clean and refreshed :) I can feel my pores enlarging there XD My body felt very refreshed once I'm out of the cave. Visitors are advised to be in the cave for only 5 minutes per session to avoid....errr...overheating? heee~
