Assalamualaikum and hello!

Here is another simple English class in continuation of my first Word Choice series. I hope everyone has finally decided whether to bare themselves or not ;)

Lately, I kept seeing people replying a gratitude comment with YOUR WELCOME. This is very wrong, take note my fellow Malaysians. Here's how you should say it :

"Thanks for helping me!"

"Your welcome babe, small matter!"

absobloodylutely WRONG. What is your welcome anyway? Care to explain?

YOUR means "it belongs to you". 

For example : is this YOUR pen?

instead, the right way is :

"Thank you so much for your assistance"

"You're welcome"

You're is another way of saying YOU ARE. That apostrophe is not there as an accessory.

I have to admit that one of my pet peeve is seeing people type out the wrong word choice and publicly humiliating themselves. I'm planning to make this post short and concise, and it is entirely meant for academic purpose. I'll update more on whatever mistakes I found done by people so that this blog will serve more purpose to my readers :)

You can be a Fortune 500 company CEO or whatever, but just please, mind your word choice okay? Here is one of the most common mistake in word choice that I found written by people especially on Facebook, Instagram, blogs, and Twitter. To bare or to bear?

"Bare with me, I will upload the images later as I'm quite busy now"

You, are inviting people to go naked with you. Strip off. 

"Bear with me, I'll complete your request in a short while"

You, are telling people to be patient with whatever business you both are in.
