Assalamualaikum and hello! Today 27th September marks another milestone for my family. My dearest brother Amirul Ahmad Afiq has left Malaysia to further his studies at Plymouth University, UK. I am so proud of him because he did it, he finally made it! He proved that no matter how lousily he scored during SPM, he chose the right course for his diploma and did well in it. His advantage furthered as he became the Student Council President and I knew that my little brother has grown up so much :') I really hope that he will do his best in Plymouth, enjoy his studies as well as the new environment and I want him to make the best out of his 2 years there. To my dearest readers, if you read this, please pray for the safety and well-being of my brother okay? I am planning to further my master's degree soon and I hope that I will get the big opportunity as my brother already got :) Remember, studying is a limitless activity and we should never cease from pursuing it ^_^

Yeah, apparently (as in the above picture) I only received 2 flyers and a letter without the main item. I am still very disappointed because I had high respect towards Poslaju before this. I won't be posting this if my parcel is torn a bit, dented, or any accidents on it as long as I get my parcel and the item is not broken/damaged. The parcel arrived at my doorstep on Saturday afternoon, and I can only make a report within 48 hours, which left me with Monday morning only to make the report. What more troubling is that Poslaju Melaka office is quite far from my house. Best of all, making a report is just as infuriating as receiving a torn parcel because, Poslaju can't do anything about this. Can they catch the culprit? No. Can they assure you that this bloody misfortune won't happen again? No. Because every now and then, Poslaju always have problems all around Malaysia. Torn parcel, stolen parcel, very late arriving parcels, torn-used item-taped back parcels, and the list goes on. 

Well, not only me but a few other close friends of mine (bloggers too) received their parcel torn and also torn-opened and used item-taped back parcels, courtesy of Poslaju. I never thought I would make a post like this but I just can't contain it inside anymore.

I am the Green Fairy, so here is my attempt to introduce how you can sport a green eye look without looking like the Grinch or looking overly done for daily makeup look ^_^ Since I think that not all people want to purchase a pan of green eye shadow, I am going to use a green eyeliner pencil from Silkygirl, which is cheap and of high quality, and most importantly can be purchased all over the country ^_^

What you need (for eyes only):
- a green eyeliner pencil (I use Silkygirl Funky Eyelights pencil)
- a jet black eyeliner (I use Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Pen Liner)
- a sparkly cream/beige eyeliner (I use Maybelline Colorshow Eyeliner in Shiny Beige)


Steps :
1) Prep your face as usual, do all your makeup and prep your eyes with eye primer
2) By using your black eyeliner, draw a winged/cat eye look on both eyelids
3) Make another thick line closely above your black eyeliner using the green liner
4) For your waterlines, use sparkly cream/beige eyeliner from the inside corner until halfway through your waterline, then continue with the green eyeliner until the end of waterline, blend it in with the wing/flick drawn above.
4) Ensure your drawing is perfect, top with loose powder for extra longevity and some mascara
5) Ready to go out and make other ladies green with envy with the sharpness of your green eye look!


Pardon my very puffy eyes, this was shot when I was a bit feverish. Can you see the difference between my right and left eye? This green + black winged eyeliner look won't go wrong with both fair and dark skinned girls because green can make you look stunningly gorgeous provided you choose the right tone ^_^ If you look properly at my eyes, they are quite "sepet" because my grandma was Chinese, so a few of my siblings including me inherited the sepet eyes from her, though mine does not appear as obvious as my sister's :) So especially for small eyed girls, this double winged eyeliner look can make your eyes appear bigger and more livelier. If you see the eye on your left side, I actually have already lined a thick black winged eyeliner on it (refer the second image above) and it does not appear right? So, my easiest way to make it appear is by adding the green eyeliner for a splash of fun, and I believe that it makes me different because not many girls would have green on their eyes except for special, planned occasion.

Now that I have shared with you on how to use a green coloured eyeliner, you can definitely save time (if you are rushing and don't have the time to pat and blend your eyeshadow) but look stunningly gorgeous and most importantly different than others ^_^ take care, and don't forget to share with me if you recreate this look with your favourite coloured eyeliner!

Assalamualaikum and hello! I have always loved the idea of using a makeup cleansing balm at the end of the day, since I saw Paris B. from MWS reviewing an arsenal of cleansing balms on her site. There are many out there, but I found myself got so attracted to Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm because of the purple coloured tub, its huge size and a friendly price tag (well it is over a hundred ringgit but considering the brand and the amount of product, it is sensible).

So long story short, I finally managed to purchase a tub of Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm at Sephora Starhill after saving up for a while ^_^ the satisfaction was pure, ahaha!! I have been longing to get it for so long before it arrives here in Malaysia as many Western beauty bloggers raved about it so yeah,  an item in my makeup/skincare wishlist has been crossed off.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm comes in a 100ml round tub. The packaging is sturdy purple plastic tub with a silver coloured lid. It does not come with any box so all product description/info are written on the tub. If you foresee yourself using it every day holding the tub, then I advise you to read everything and memorize if needed because the label is not permanent. I saw the sample tub at Sephora has lost all its writings on it XD well I am very particular about the look of my belongings. I don't want it to look retarded so I usually make sure the packaging look as new as it can, forever.

The texture of product inside the tub is just like any normal waxy balm, white in colour. It does not have any strong smell to it, just a normal, mild balmy scent as this Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is made by Clinique to be allergy tested, ophthalmologist tested, and 100% fragrance-free. As I have been using this cleansing balm for more than a month, all I can say is, I really love it! It is a worthy investment as this balm definitely cleanses my skin off my makeup after a long day.

I usually scoop out a dollop of this balm and rub it in between my palms. It turned a bit greasy but not that gooey oily type. Massaging it on my skin is a fun thing to do because apart from working on it to dissolve all the makeup traces and grime on my face, it serves as a relaxing therapy for my face muscles. Cleansing and massaging is a great idea after I spent my day making thousands of facial expressions while working, hehe! I found that this Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is successful in the department of dissolving traces of foundation, BB cream, lipstick, eyeliner and waterproof mascara. I don't normally depend solely on this to take off my makeup, I usually wipe my face with one piece of facial cleansing wipe from Guardian first because I cannot stand the oily feeling when I get home. However, I tested this cleansing balm to solely remove the layer of BB cream + powder foundation from my face and I found that after washing it off, no makeup traces left on my skin already (I used a cotton soaked with Bifesta sebum makeup remover to double check), which is a satisfying point.

There are a few ways for you to use this Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. First, use it as a sole makeup remover, which means, you don't do any prior removal using cleansing wipes or cotton soaked with makeup remover. I suggest this if you only sport a thin layer of makeup. Secondly, use this cleansing balm as a second makeup removal stage, like I always practiced. Wipe your makeup first with a cleansing wipe, and then follow with this cleansing balm, and I suggest this if you have medium to thick makeup coverage on your face. Next is the method of removal. You may just splash some water on your face to wash off the residue after massaging the cleansing balm, or you might want to use a wet (cold or warm, up to you) flannel or wash cloth to wipe it off. This Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm dissolves to a milky white residue when in contact with water, and it left the skin feeling smooth and clean. It is greasy when applied on dry skin but when washed, not even a subtle hint of oiliness or greasiness can be detected. It does not give any tight feeling to my skin either ^_^

Well, I think my lecture is over now that I have explained thoroughly about my take on how to use this cleansing balm and how it fares. I totally recommend this Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm if you are looking for one to try, and if later on you happen to buy this product because of my review here, I hope you will love it as much as I do :) If you don't, then don't blame me :p I am sorry for the lack of pictures, my camera is currently not available and I don't know when I can get it back *sigh*. I promise I will update with more test pictures on how this cleansing balm works when I can get a proper camera.

Sorry for being MIA for so long, I am still trying to cope with and also adjusting to my current life schedule, hehe :p So, this post is dedicated to a product that I have been using for months already. It was tough waiting for the right time to get it actually. When its first version came out, I don't have money to spend on it. When I finally have some extra cash to spend, the product is out of stock everywhere. Finally the second version of packaging surfaced, and I got to buy it. So here it is, the Sweet Recipe Baby Choux by Etude House ^_^ I got myself a tube of the #03 Peach Choux to try, mainly because I think that it suits my skin. 

Etude House Baby Choux Base is a makeup base or primer. It came in three colours which are peach, mint green and purple. Peach Choux is a peach base targeted to brighten sallow or yellow skin (on its international website it said Peach Choux is for dark skin tone with yellow colour). I think this is my second primer after Revlon Photoready primer because truth be told, I am THAT lazy to apply makeup primers except when I wear foundation, which is not every day.

Lets see what I've got to say about this cute Baby Choux Base. It has a very nice fragrant, very sweet yet not too overpowering. The fact that this second version comes in a tube make it more hygienic than its older sister which was in a glass jar. I actually still long for that one in glass jar because the design is cute, and I have an obsession towards makeup/skincare products in jars. I love jar and tub packaging the most! The consistency of this Baby Choux Base is in between a foundation and a BB cream. It is a bit thick but very easily spread. It does not cling to dry patches or settle onto fine lines under my eyes either, prolly due to my habit of using moisturizer before applying any makeup. 

So here are my thoughts after using this peach Baby Choux Base for quite some time. I can say that I love this base because it helps me get a powdery-matte and smooth canvas prior to my makeup application. With a matte foundation and overnight skin treatment, it helps curb my usual oily face look. I experienced this when I used this one lovely pore refining mask at night and the next morning I use this Baby Choux Base before my mattifying foundation. If I follow with a BB cream after this Baby Choux Base, my skin gets oily after 4 hours in Malaysia's hot and humid weather. 

I love the fact that this peach Baby Choux Base makes foundation application easier as it provides me with a smooth canvas. This base contains silicone, one of it being cyclopentasiloxane which is non-comodogenic and could be the reason that makes this base smooth like a dream. I found that during my 'awesome skin' period, wearing this peach Baby Choux Base alone made me admire my skin for a while as it looks like I don't need anymore makeup. That happens after a month of using Egyptian Magic cream, I'm not lying. I said this because I am not a heavy makeup wearer XD this peach Baby Choux Base is also true to its aim, which helps yellow/sallow skin to look better as I have a bit of uneven skin tone and this base has been a good pal to my skin. 

Overall, I really love this peach Baby Choux Base and I recommend it to you all if you don't have any silicone allergy, you have yellow/sallow skin tone and you need a base that helps give you a very smooth canvas. I found some other reviews saying that it clings to their dry patches so you really have to experiment with this Baby Choux Base to see on how it performs. Toodles, see you in my next post!

I bought this brush with Carolyn in a combined iHerb spree a few months ago but when it arrived, I was too busy to care about my makeup and tools so I admired it for quite some time before using it, hehe! I regret not trying it earlier because this brush is superbly fantastic! I get an airbrush-like canvas after using this brush whenever I put on my BB creams and foundations. I found that it works best if I spread the creams first on my skin, and then work on it with this RT Expert Face brush. I can say that I will not leave this brush if I were to go somewhere, it is a must have!

Another favourite from Clinique, which is my first cleansing balm purchased from Sephora. I did an extensive research before buying this because I wanna buy the cleansing balm that gets the most vote, which is this baby of course. Apart from falling in love with the purple packaging, the huge product size is also another reason why I bought this. I usually wipe off my makeup with a cleansing wipe first then I follow up with this Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. The balm melts like a thin oil consistency on my face and massaging it while waiting for makeup to dissolve is so enjoyable! It is super easy to wash off as well and I found my skin clean, fresh and soft. No breakouts too ^_^

I love this Po Bling Pore Ultrasonic Cleanser brush simply because it truly cleanses and does not hurt my skin at all even though it is a cleansing brush. The bristles are super soft, the sonic vibrations are relaxing and the effect is marvelous! I use this every night if I wear full makeup during the day because the micro fine brushes are effective to cleanse my pores. I just did the full review and hopefully you can benefit from it ;)

Time really has passed very swiftly, isn't it? We are now approaching September and before we knew it, 2014 is going to end soon. For me, among the biggest changes I am experiencing now is the transition from full-time studying to working. Yes darlings, I have officially and successfully ended my three years journey of being a bachelor's degree student. Since I am not allowed by my overprotective parents to work in KL, I am in Melaka living with my family and doing part-time jobs now to earn some money (after I was lectured about lazing around at home). So yeah, I have been wearing makeup on my face every day to look 'more presentable' though my job does not require me to wear it at all (I'm just gonna admit that wearing makeup makes me feel a lot happier, hehe).
Well, wearing makeup every day definitely calls for extra care during cleansing my face as I do not want zits to pop out like they're the boss on my face, hehe! So thanks to Lazada Malaysia, I got the opportunity to try Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser and seriously, I am in love! I have always seen this Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser on the internet, especially on Instagram and also on Carousell but I never tried to get one because I have Olay Pro-X and I don't think my pocket can afford another hole. I am so glad when the parcel arrives, and I didn't wait another day to start using this Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser. So, let's get to know it, shall we?

So here is how the bottom of my Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser brush looks like. It is the same regardless the body colours of Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser. There is a triangular base, gold in color and stamped with the word pobling, made in korea, AAA battery, and the voltage. If you look at the picture below, that is how a Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser looks like when it is disassembled. Most of the parts are made of sturdy plastic. The brush bristles are synthetic and ultra soft ^-^ I personally feel that the brush is a tad unstable when put in its base so I don't really use the base. I take off the brush head to dry the bristles and I put the body in a horizontal position. To use the brush, I only need to press the power button once and the brush will vibrate. So I usually spend 1 minute brushing my face with a circular motion using this Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser after I remove my makeup with a cleansing wipe.  

Since I have used this Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser brush for more than 2 weeks already, I saw improvements on my skin condition and it makes me happy :) Firstly, this brush is not abrasive at all so my skin never experience any raw feeling, pain or redness. Secondly, my makeup is properly removed thanks to its super soft micro fine brushes as my pores definitely are not as clogged as before. How can I say that? Because I don't get many of those nasty pimple bumps anymore even though I now wear makeup every day. Thirdly, I can feel that my skin has become smoother and this may be due to the fact that the brush helps in mild exfoliation thus enhancing the effectiveness of skincare products I am using. Another thing that makes me happy is because my nose and forehead looks much clearer than before. People with congested pores and pimple scars will understand this, hehe!

All in all, I can recommend this Po Bling Pore Sonic Cleanser brush to you all because I have used this brush for more than 2 weeks, every night and the result is good. However I might say that I see this brush fits people with flawless skin and super sensitive skin better as you won't feel anything on your face while using it, so it wont hurt. Taking care of it is not a problem provided you have a suitable place to put the brush while not in use. The brush head should be replaced every 3 months or more, depending on the condition and how well you take care of your brush head and maintain its hygiene.
