Assalamualaikum and hello! I hope you all have chanced upon my review on Acne Solutions I Love because I'm about to bring the acne treatment game to a whole different level in this post, yeehaa! So, as you all might already know, a fraction of my mentioned and unmentioned beauty buys were from Luxola because from them, I get to buy many beauty brands that are not available locally or too expensive to buy at physical stores here. Since the brand Mario Badescu is only available locally at Sephora and the price tag kills me instantly, I get them from Luxola because they are reliable, fast and they often have interesting sales, hehe ;) 

Recently I received two Mario Badescu products from Luxola to try and after using them for a period of time, I feel obliged to share my first impression with you all here so that you can make your decision now if you too are suffering oily, acne skin like me. I have Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion and Mario Badescu Whitening Mask to review in this post, so let us start with the Special Cucumber Lotion first okay?

Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion

It is a toner. It acts as a refreshing, pore tightening toner and contains antiseptic properties to combat current acne on skin surface and to help heal whatever nasty acne building up from the inside of your skin. The suggestion is to use  Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion twice a day after cleansing. To me, it smells like baby powder, it has a cooling sensation on my skin, and it feels so refreshing when I wipe my face with a cotton pad soaked with it. It does not give me a dry or tight feeling on the skin upon use, and so far it helps to make my skin feel really clean. In the past 7 days, I did not have enough sleep, I did not eat well, I was (and still am) under pressure and I wore lots of makeup. These actions usually lead to a healthy growth of uninvited pimple army on my face. To my surprise, only one appeared on my forehead and the size does not even grow bigger. Oh, one more thing, my skin is less oily than before in the past 7 days! I can conclude that this Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion does help my skin to fight acne growth as being an astringent lotion, but at the same time is able to retain moisture and keep my skin feeling fresh. I will continue using this toner only until I finish it, and I will update (maybe it will take 2-3 months) about it later ya :) I promise!

Mario Badescu Whitening Mask

This is what I am so happy about! I have several very stubborn acne scars on my face. On my cheeks, on my nose, on my forehead, and on my chin. They're everywhere and they are dark, they make me look splotchy I iz sad (T_T) Enter Mario Badescu Whitening Mask, a grape-scented white coloured soothing mask which aim is to help brighten uneven/dull skin and lighten acne scars over time with consistent use. It contains these super ingredients of Kojic Acid, Licorice Extract and Grape Extract to reduce minor hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, while its soothing botanical properties is to calm inflamed and sensitive skin. I thought masks for acne skin would always feel super tightening on skin and makes the skin feel stung a bit, most of them are like this as I've had my fair share of testing them. However, Mario Badescu Whitening Mask is a different story as what it gave me was a pleasant smell, fast drying time that does not make my skin feel like they're pulled, and it actually works! One acne scar on my chin, which was quite faint (I'll say it's 50% dark) has disappeared completely from sight, and one very dark like 100% dark acne scar on my cheek has now appeared lighter by 30%. These happened within 7 times of usage. I will update later on how many usage I took to get them disappear completely okay? I just need to write this now because I will feel bad for not sharing it with you guys as Luxola is having a 30% OFF on this mask right now!! don't you think you should get it while you still can? hehehe~

Overall, I am most impressed with Mario Badescu Whitening Mask as I never thought my acne scar would disappear this quick. It's a shame I don't have a before and after picture as my phone camera is not capable of capturing such detailed image. I tried but it won't show up, I'm sorry for that. Before I pen-off, please remember that all these results were obtained after 7 days of disciplined usage. It may vary depending on how you take care of yourself generally :) hope this review helps!
