The Versatile Blogger Award

tag Saturday, August 16, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello! Special thanks to Syaza from Bloobs. Blurbs. II for nominating me in this Versatile Blogger Award :) So before I start with my task, here are the rules for Versatile Blogger Award :

Thank the nice fella who gave you this award ;)
Include a link to their blog
Select 15 blogs/bloggers you've recently discovered/followed regularly.
Nominate these 15 to the Versatile Blogger Award
Tell the person who nominated you with 7 things about yourself

I'm gonna start with 7 things about myself ^_^ Syaza, here they are XD

1. I want to learn horse-riding, gun shooting, fencing and combat practices. Money please roll to me XD

2. Gaining ideal weight is very hard for me as I usually lose weight in a blink of an eye.

3. I wish to lead a dangerous life, preferably armed to the teeth and not without a set of bow and arrows.

4. I don't wanna do bungee jumping no matter what, but sign me up for skydiving.

5. I have a phobia towards animal carcasses. Especially those with ants and maggots.

6. I love reading fantasy novels, especially about assassins, dragons and fairies.

7. I always seem to have trouble sleeping.

Well, I know some of the above sounds unreal but that's me, always loving the fictions, the impossibles, the not-suitable-for-woman things. Some of the above made me happy, my type of escapism ;) I think I should look at this list again five years from now and see if anything can be crossed off or removed. I hope I will achieve at least 3 items in a good way :p

Blogs I Read : Malaysian Beauty Bloggers + Tagging!

Blogs I Read Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Assalamualaikum and Hello! I was tagged by my dearest Syaza from Bloobsblurbs to do this post, hehe! Basically it helps me to introduce you guys to 3 of my favourite Malaysian beauty bloggers. Please don't mistaken me by the choices I made here. I do read a lot of blogs, and every person has their own reason why "they choose this one over that one". So yeah, I'm gonna tell you why I love these three ladies and their blogs ^_^ check it out!

1) Sabrina Tajudin

Let me tell you something. Sabrina was the first beauty blogger I met and she is the one who triggered me to start beauty blogging. I met her during a Silkygirl event while I was in semester 2, and that was in 2012. She taught me how to do my eyebrows during the event, which was something I never did by myself prior to meeting her :) From Sabrina, I learned that there is something on the net called "beauty blogging" and I really love how creative she is. Her gift in artsy stuffs made me always come back to her blog to see what new things she has for us readers, hehe! I have a mindset that when someone is creative, she/he can conquer the world ^_^

2) Street-Love

I have never met or talked to the owner of Street-Love, Fiona in person but I terribly respect her especially in her writings. Whenever I visited her blog, I found myself clicking links after links, her posts are contagious! I spent quite some time being her silent reader before I had the courage to start commenting. What I love so much about the blog Street Love is because of its extensive reviews on items, and Fiona is the type of person who will go in-depth to clear the haze surrounding a product that she writes about. She gives me the satisfaction as a reader, and she too is a major influence of what I bought or plan to buy. I even tell myself, if Fiona says it's okay then I can buy that thing XD Her stories sometimes are funny too, I dare say that this lady has the guts to spill whatever she thinks. She's not afraid to talk!

3) Shopaholic Anonymous

Okay, I want to admit that Arpita, the owner of Shopaholic Anonymous owns a gift that can make you spend money on things she promote, haha! She writes extensively too, and her unique writing style makes me never bother if that one post is as long as an academic paper's literature review. Her blog is another influence that makes me confident to buy anything if her review says it is okay. I found myself a skincare lover + hoarder not long after I started visiting her blog religiously. Another factor that hooks my heart to her blog is that the pictures on this blog is always 100% whatever the product is. I don't mean to say that everything looks like pictures from magazines. What I meant is, her pictures are always the type that I call "what you see is what you get" (I am not referring to the computer term of WYSIWYG okay). This is very important to me especially for makeup items as Shopaholic Anonymous never failed to show their true colours ;)

I actually have more than these to mention but since the rule here is only for 3, that will have to do for now. I guess I will continue making this post from time to time, to shout out on blogs I love so that everyone can give them a visit too ^_^ So yeah, I hope if you haven't visited these three awesome blogs, you can start scrolling up and down their pages now as I can say that these are among the most informative beauty blogs I love. They are consistent in posting (I must be like them!!) and your eyes will love what you see on their blogs ^_^ To end my post, I hereby tag three of my blogging comrades to share their 3 favourite blogs as well :p

1) Mira Cikcit : http://miracikcit.blogspot.com/

2) Jannah Md Isa : http://jannahmdisa.wordpress.com/

3) Shopgirl : http://shopgirlsdiary.wordpress.com/

Care to recommend me your favourite blogs?

Get Your Freak On!

blogger's activity Saturday, August 17, 2013

Assalamualaikum and hello! I was invited by our sweet Farisha Nadia to do this Get Your Freak On tag, and also coincidentally tagged after reading it from Angeline's blog too as she wrote "I'm tagging YOU! If you're reading this post! :P"

1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?

I don't really have a fixed nickname among my family members. My dad calls me kakak, my siblings call me kak izzah, and my mom calls me girl.

2. What's a weird habit of yours?

I cannot stay (sit) in a fixed position for a very long time unless I'm reading a book.

3. Do you have any weird phobias?

Definitely! The top 2 are necrophobia and mycophobia .

4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?

Red by Taylor Swift :)

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?

I don't mind anybody who wants to smoke but I definitely can't stand people smoking nearby me and 'showering' me with the awful smokes. I wish I could just say "Go die faster but I do not wish to tag along so, please get the hell out of here"

6. What's one of your nervous habits?

Biting my nails of course!

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

Most of the time, at the middle.

8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name?

I don't give it a name, but all I can recall is it was a pinkish-white toddler sized rabbit.

9. What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?

I don't do Starbucks :)

10. What's a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?

I cannot remember if I ever preached anything before XD But as far as I can remember, I seldom use moisturizer before this as I thought my oily skin doesn't need them =_='' man, I was wrong. I also didn't put on sunscreen until last year.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?

360 degrees XD

12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?

I don't know if it's weird to you or not but my friends say it's crazy and they can't do it.

I usually did it when sitting on a chair, not on the floor like this. It looks crazier/weirder the original way.

13. What's your favorite comfort food that's 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?

Fries! I love Crazy Cheddar from Crazy Potato ^_^ OMG, I wish I could have them now! Too bad there's no outlet in Melaka. Oh, I love KFC's cheezy wedges too!

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?

Shit.

15. Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing?

Anything loose and comfortable that doesn't make me feel like being steamed/in a sauna.

16. What did you used to wear that you thought was cool but now you realize it wasn't that hot?

I can't really answer this as I am never the fashionista type. I wear anything I'm comfortable wearing, and most importantly what convinces me to feel pretty and confident ^_^

I hereby would like to tag :

Illy

and definitely everyone who reads this post :D do share your links and comments below ya ^_~
