Hello you awesome people ^_^ I have been asked a few times, online and offline, on how can we shrink our pores. 

Well, I am not a dermatologist so I don't have any research paper written by myself to let you read. I wish I could make one. However, as a beauty blogger, I have attended some beauty workshops especially skincare workshops and the truth told by dermatologists I met, NO you cannot shrink your pores. 

Actually people have been using the wrong term all these while. The size of pores on your skin are the result of how you take care of your skin internally and externally all these while. Remember when you're small, does your pores look like how it looks like now? No, right? We once had smooth face with no large pores threatening to make ugly our pictures. Now as we grow up, we realize that our pores get bigger, and does it happen within days? No, it takes years. So the same goes to making it look less noticeable and eventually smaller, it takes years. Products available at drugstores can only help to make your pores less noticeable, not shrink it overnight, fortnight or within a month. 

The good news is, there are hundreds of ways and products that can help us minimize the appearance of pores. Make it less visible. So, the conclusion is, cleanse your face properly, use the correct skincare for your targeted concern and take care of your body entirely. You will be the prettiest and healthiest looking human, and then be grateful. So please stop believing that "cream X can shrink your pores with a week" or "cleanser X can make your pores smaller after 3 use". They're a joke.

Assalamualaikum and hello! I'm going to introduce you to a supplement that was given to me by HiShop. Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 is a dietary supplement made in New Zealand. True to its name, this softgel type supplement is made purely of sheep placenta, which makes it of genuine quality unlike some other placenta supplements which might be a mixture of something else. For Muslim readers who are keen to know whether it is halal to consume sheep placenta or not, I cannot answer your question in depth as I am no scholar nor scientist who did experiments on this matter. When I first consumed this I admit that I did not thought of it to be harmful in any ways and I stand by not having any doubt on the supplement. Now I found that some people said Muslims can't consume this because it is from a placenta (please don't ask me, I don't know how to explain), some said it can be used externally only (as ointment, serum for skin, etc) and one organization from NZ said that the extraction of placenta for their supplement does not harm the sheep and its baby thus they received Halal status from FIANZ. So, I guess in the end it is up to you and your faith to consume it. 

Now that I've cleared out the most important part for my Muslim readers, let us move to the specifics of Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 okay ;) Each soft-gel contains 300mg of Ovine Placenta and should be consumed as a dietary supplement. You can take 1-3 soft-gels per day, depending on your need or interest to see its result (fast/slow). This Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 is approved by Ministry of Health Malaysia, so no need to worry of harmful ingredients then. Due to its nature as a premium placenta supplement, Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 must be stored below 25 degree Celcius. 

After consuming Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300, I noticed that it stopped my skin from getting more zits. During the course of consuming it, I did not get any pimples which has been my main skin concern, and my dry skin problem due to acne medication has healed as well. I also did not experience a very painful period pain. Usually I can rate the pain as 8/10 but when I got my period during consuming Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 I would say the pain I experienced was at scale 3/10. When I stopped consuming Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300, I get back my hormonal zits (PMS) and that's all. So I can conclude that this supplement helped me in halting the growth of zits, relieving dry patches on skin and reducing period pain. I did not see any other improvements on my skin, and since I am quite healthy with no other worrying health concerns I am not eligible to tell other effects it give on my health.

That being said, in my opinion Mega Alpha Sheep Placenta Extract 300 is a premium category of supplement that you can buy if you are looking for placenta-type supplement that strictly has no other ingredients in it. It does not have any bad smell so consuming will be a piece of cake.

Although I never celebrated Christmas, I have always loved the joy it brought to me when the season is around ;) From TV shows to gift sets, those were the things that fascinates me especially when I was a child. Growing up and finally got the liberty to wander alone around shopping malls, the decorations for Christmas theme intrigued me the most because they always seem to do it all out, considering we don't have the white Christmas here in Malaysia. I remember getting awed by the whimsical Christmas theme at One Utama shopping mall in 2013 and it seems like they did it again in 2014, with a family-friendly theme "A Rustic Woodland Christmas - Love & Joy". 

Thanks to The Butterfly Project Malaysia, I got to witness the opening of One Utama's 2014 Christmas theme "A Rustic Woodland Christmas - Love & Joy". First of all, I'd like to say "WOW" when I saw the decorations sprawling along the Concourse area as they really made it to transform One Utama into a whimsical forest like what I dreamed in Enid Blyton stories BUT instead of trees, bushes and streams, there are kiosks with an extensive offerings of gifts and special sets waiting to be bought, hehe! What's with the theme this year? You should expect to stumble into their cute chubby polar bears, squinty-eyed foxes, squirrels, owls, raccoons, penguins and even the charming snake! They're all there to make your Christmas experience an unforgettable one ^_^

During the media preview, I really enjoyed the opening Christmas show and the musical performance by Amazing Gaia. Seriously if you drop by One Utama until Dec 28th, I really hope that you could catch even just one of the many performances, they're definitely so amazing and worth watching! Don't forget to snap pictures or selfies and post it on Instagram okay? Make your account more colourful with them ;) We were also given the chance to try some amazing teas by Betjeman & Barton for our tea time and boyyy I really really fell in love with their Malesherbes and Rooibush Jardin Rouge tea so much! Then we also got to bring home our personalized keychain from Juize by Five, aww it's so cute!

The concourse area is densely packed with promo kiosks where you can get items with discounts, Christmas sets and many more. Expect Laura Mercier, L'Occitane, O.P.I, Claire Organics, Kiehl's, Dyptique and Caudalie around there. Ahemm, have you visited them yet? Who knows they might have what you have been looking all these while ;)

The entire world knows that I'm married to red lipstick. If any new lipsticks are in town, I'll swatch the reds first, and 95% probability of my purchase would be the red shade as well  ^_^ So when I delicately tore open my parcel from Makeup Revolution Malaysia, they clearly are stocking me up with an array of reds in case a zombie apocalypse happen so that I'll have the perfect weapon to combat in style, hahaha XD

Okay enough of my nonsense :p I have been loving this new addition to my makeup bag, which is Makeup Revolution Lip Power in shade Yesterday's Favourite. I salute Makeup Revolution for their creativity in giving quirky names to their products, it made my day more awesome as I am a person who loves creativity in language, hehe! Hey, have you checked their entire website yet? The prices of Makeup Revolution Malaysia products are all so affordable I wish I could bring a trolley and shop till I drop, I'm not kidding you XD right, without further ado lets see what's so awesome with this Lip Power shall we?

At first I thought it was only a lip gloss, until I realized that "oh, there's a lipstick too!". The first plus point is, Makeup Revolution Lip Power is a double duty lip product. It comes with a lipstick and a coloured lip gloss. The shade Yesterday's Favourite comes with a deep red matte lipstick and a pinkish coral lip gloss with gold flecks in it. Forgive me for such description of the colour, I hope you can understand my language :p

I think Lip Power is a must have in every ladies handbag because of its dual-functionality. Sometimes all you can carry is a small purse so this will come in handy. The lipstick, though matte, is buttery soft when applied and the colour payoff is opaque. It does not need more than 2 layering when I used it on my lips. What about the lip gloss? Well it is quite thick but it is not overly sticky, your lips won't get glued with this on ;) I found it rather hydrating, and it tones down the deep red matte lipstick when applied on top. However for girls with pigmented lips this gloss wouldn't really show up with any colours if applied on its own. It is shimmery laden, and if you use only the gloss you'll get the shiny, metallic lips look ;) The staying power of Makeup Revolution Lip Power in Yesterday's Favourite is quite remarkable. The stain transfers on the cup when I drank but it stays pigmented on the lips. Upon eating, I can say that there are still 60% of the colour left on my lips so yeah, this product is really a Lip Power ^_^ oh before I forget, both lipstick and lip gloss has a sweet, citrusy scent to it.

Conclusion : Makeup Revolution Lip Power in Yesterday's Favourite is definitely my favourite now, hehe! I super love the matte lipstick as its formula is hydrating and it does not make dry lips look uglier. I vote 4/5 star for the lipstick! As for the gloss, I'll only wear it on top of the lipstick to add shine to my lips as it is too shimmery to be worn on its own coz I have dark lips. If you have fair, pinkish lips then I think the gloss will look marvelous on you ^_^ The price is very affordable, and you'll get to choose from 5 colours :) There is nothing I don't like about this product as it passed all my requirements for a lippie ^_^

Personal reminder : I say the lipstick is not drying and has a hydrating formula because my lips are not dry/chapped/severely chapped during the course of using this Lip Power. For ladies out there with dry, chapped lips, the result upon application might vary, which I shall not be deemed responsible due to my review. Please exfoliate your lips regularly and drink plenty of plain water to avoid dehydration. Well hydrated body = sexy lips = can wear any lip products and look fabulous! Thank you!

I graduated from UiTM after 3 years, went for several interviews, get back on track meeting my lovely Butterflies, and figuring out life, hahaha~ Blogging has been a bit slow for me lately, with no camera I can't do much. I seriously pray that God will bless me with a good camera soon. So, are you ready to see what I have been loving to the max last November? Here they are!

1. Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye - my first specific under eye concealer. I've been battling with some sleepless nights so this concealer is definitely a great addition to my makeup routine. While it covers my panda eyes perfectly, this concealer is VERY thick and not easy to spread, making it crease easily if applied too much. It is wise to apply sparingly on a properly moisturized face ;)

2. Maybelline The Falsies Big Eye Mascara - Maybelline never fails to impress with their mascara, and this latest addition is da bomb! I love the fact that they came up with dual ended wand for top and bottom lashes. Honestly I never applied mascara on my bottom lash so when I tried this babe, I'm totally hooked! It curled my lashes well, the curl stays all day, easy to remove and it does not smudge.

3. Ronasutra Mineral Attraction 2-in-1 Foundation Powder - I have been using CC and BB creams a lot lately so I found myself applying this mineral powder foundation a lot to set my makeup. The coverage is medium to full but it feels amazingly lightweight. I tried using it with a fluffy powder brush but I found that the finished look is better when I use Ecotools Flat Top Bamboo Buffing brush.

4. Sleek Blush By 3 (Sugar) - When I first purchased this from Luxola, I said that I bought it because I wanna learn how to wear blusher as the truth is I am not a blusher fan. However when I tried the shade Muscovado from this palette, I found that it really helped to give my face a more defined look. So far, I really am in love with this one ^_^

5. Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick (006 Really Red) - It was not easy for me to find this shade, and when I did for the first time, I bought it. I have to say this is the best red matte lipstick I ever used. The red is just perfect for my skin tone, perfect to my liking and I found myself reaching for it more often than other reds. It is MY colour I guess?

6. Skin & Lab Glacial Clay Facial Mask - I bought this mask from Natta Cosme out of curiousity and I don't regret it, hehe! There is a tingling sensation during the first few minutes of wearing this mask, and it is laden with clay and tea tree fragrant. It gives a cooling effect to my skin and upon removal my skin felt smooth and brighter. I also found that when I use it twice a week, it kinda help my skin to become less oilier.

7. Yadah Bubble Deep Cleanser - This one does not need an introduction, everyone knows I am madly in love with Yadah Bubble Deep Cleanser so when I felt boring with other cleansers, I came back to this one, hehe! It is soooo refreshing!

8. Biore Perfect Cleansing Water - An alternative to Bifesta, as I love to keep my options wide ;) This cleansing water removes my makeup perfectly well, and it is very gentle to my skin. I like how it helps to moisturize my skin after cleansing so it allows me to plonk onto the bed after using it, which however I never tried because I practice double cleansing.

This post is dedicated to products that I think worth trying by everyone :) Some of you might want to buy it, but then you feel unsure whether it will be a good investment or not, am I right? The same goes to me, sometimes when a new product came out I feel the hype to own it but in the end, will I really love to use it all up, or not? I hope this new series will be my alternative to recommend products especially when I am getting busier for a full product review, hehe! Enjoy ^_^

1. Philosophy Purity Made Simple

Hands down, this is my next holy grail facial cleanser! It removes makeup traces well from my skin, sometimes it dissolves my eyeliner as well, great great great ^_^ It left my skin feeling so fresh and clean, like a sparkling crystal glass freshly wiped off dusts can you get it? Hahaha! The best thing about this Purity Made Simple is, it does not dry out my skin, it does not give that tightness feeling on my skin, and is actually a 3-in-1 product as claimed by Philosophy (makeup remover-cleanser-toner) that's why it only comes with the Hope In A Jar moisturizer. Purity Made Simple smells like air sirap limau if you ask me, honestly. 

2. Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

I have the most epic love-hate relationship with this CC cream but I come back for it anyways. It is oily on my skin. I don't know how much oily is dewy but the mind-boggling thing here is, my skin looked pretty with this Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream on. I want to kick it to the curb for having no mercy towards the oiliness on my face but hug it fiercely at the same time for making my skin look fabulous with just one layer. So far, I don't see my local beauty blogger friends reviewing this CC cream saying that it turned out oily at the end of the day. Most of them only said that it is good or how to achieve the look so maybe it is just my skin being oily with this CC cream. This CC cream is very runny and thin, but the coverage is worth being praised! I mix it with a drop of Body Shop tea tree oil to overcome pimple problem and it is working fine. But the fact that I still need to blot my face 3-4 times is so not cool. Anyhow, you can check JQ's review here to know her advice about this CC cream and its partner the CC eye cream :)

3. Safi Shayla Anti Dandruff Shampoo | Safi Shayla Fresh and Bounce Shampoo
I got to make my mom fell in love with Safi Shayla range, hehe! I use both shampoo alternately as I experience itchy scalp and uncomfortable feeling on my head due to wearing the headscarf in Malaysia's hot and humid weather. Both anti dandruff and fresh & bounce shampoo left my hair smelling so good, soft and manageable. I have dry hair and they always look so voluminous but after using Safi Shayla range, my hair does not feel heavy and unruly anymore.  I also have completely used a bottle of Safi Shayla scalp freshner (it was amazing!) but I am so pissed off now because I cannot find it in Tesco Melaka (the only convenient shopping place for me at the moment). They only sell the shampoo -_-

4. 4eb Spotless OCM Blend
I was gifted with this 4eb Spotless OCM Blend from 4 Elements Beauty and I yet to make a review series for everything I have tried. OCM stands for "oil cleansing method" if you are still not familiar with it. I SUPER LOVE this product! It left my skin so clean, so soft and fresh feeling every time after I use it to cleanse all makeup/makeup traces/grime from my face. 4eb is currently undergoing some refurbishment so it is yet to be accessible until further notice. I hope that once they start selling again, you guys can try their OCM blends (for normal skin/for acne skin) and experience the wonders it has to offer ^_^ maybe you can check the owner's blog about all natural skincare for now? Lately, I kept seeing people replying a gratitude comment with YOUR WELCOME. This is very wrong, take note my fellow Malaysians. Here's how you should say it :

"Thanks for helping me!"

"Your welcome babe, small matter!"

absobloodylutely WRONG. What is your welcome anyway? Care to explain?

YOUR means "it belongs to you". 

For example : is this YOUR pen?

instead, the right way is :

"Thank you so much for your assistance"

"You're welcome"

You're is another way of saying YOU ARE. That apostrophe is not there as an accessory.

I have to admit that one of my pet peeve is seeing people type out the wrong word choice and publicly humiliating themselves. I'm planning to make this post short and concise, and it is entirely meant for academic purpose. I'll update more on whatever mistakes I found done by people so that this blog will serve more purpose to my readers :)

You can be a Fortune 500 company CEO or whatever, but just please, mind your word choice okay? Here is one of the most common mistake in word choice that I found written by people especially on Facebook, Instagram, blogs, and Twitter. To bare or to bear?

"Bare with me, I will upload the images later as I'm quite busy now"

You, are inviting people to go naked with you. Strip off. 

"Bear with me, I'll complete your request in a short while"

You, are telling people to be patient with whatever business you both are in.

Collection Cosmetics knows that lip crayon is now a big hit among Asian women, thus they decided to come up with this Urbanista range. From my observation, the shades are leaning towards red, pink and orange tones. No blues or purples here, which is relevant considering we Asians don't really sport blue or purple lips unless for those worshipping the radiant orchid on their head in honor of 2014 XD I have swatched all 8 shades prior to the official release of this Urbanista Lip Crayon and posted it on Instagram and Facebook, which made my friends running to Watsons :p I'm glad that the price for this Urbanista Lip Crayon is super affordable, which is RM24.90 each.
