From 17-19th August 2015, Malaysia will be hosting the BioMalaysia & ASEAN Bioeconomy Conference and Exhibition at Putra World Trade Center (PWTC). MOSTI and BiotechCorp collaborates for the convergence of ASEAN & regional biotechnology participants in BioMalaysia 2015 in special conjunction with Malaysia's Chairmanship for ASEAN.

The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dato' Ewon Ebin said that there will some difference in 2015's BioMalaysia elements, among that is the inclusion of ASEAN Bioeconomy, that is seen to spurt the growth of bio-based industries and deliver economic benefits to the region.

The main reason for 2015's BioMalaysia to focus on the bioeconomy of ASEAN is because bio-based technology can be a game changer to tackle ASEAN's economic challenges and BioMalaysia is the platform for Malaysia to set as a gateway for innovation and growth within the bio-based sphere in the ASEAN region, said the CEO of BiotechCorp which also celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

The BioMalaysia & ASEAN Bioeconomy Conference and Exhibition will be officiated with the theme of ASEAN Bioeconomy : Biodiversity to Wellness. More than 10,000 visitors are expected to flood the 3 days exhibition featuring 250 exhibitors including international pavilion from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) comprising of multi-national corporations, government bodies and agencies.

Exhibitors from Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines will showcase their best and most innovative products and services.
