Movie Review : Homefront
Friday, November 29, 2013
Assalamualaikum and Hello!
I'm a huge fan of Jason Statham and I'll never miss his movies. So when Nuffnang had a premiere ticket giveaway I definitely tried my luck. So, long story short, I got 2 special screening tickets to watch Homefront last Tuesday, 26th November 2013. Yippeee!!
Homefront was written and produced by Sylvester Stallone. You'll see Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder and Kate Bosworth as the main actor/actresses in Homefront.

The movie is about Phil Broker (Jason Statham), ex nark (DEA) trying to build a new life away from where he last lived. His last job was an undercover agent in a biker's group which was also the biggest drug distributor. So when the group was ambushed, the leader's son was killed with 47 shots and the leader swears a grudge on Broker that his family, his daughter won't be safe.

Broker's new life in the countryside rocked a bit when his daughter got bullied but fought back at school. The drug distributor at that area (James Franco) got to know about Broker's old life and sent an informer to the imprisoned biker's gang leader, telling that it's a gift in exchange of distribution help.
Next was blood bath, and you can guess who wins in the end :p Basically the story line was predictable, nothing fancy and it was a straight movie about family, love and grudge. This movie is rated 18PL here, I see it's level of gory-ness the same like RED 2. Not suitable for underage children just because there's a lot of blood and violent fighting scene. Overall, it is an okay movie. Go watch with your family members and friends ^_^ (and make sure they obey the age limit).
Rating : 3.5/5
