A Tale of Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

Assalamualaikum and hello!
I have always wondered how our ancestors keep their skin healthy and flawless. I mean, come on! They don't even have facial cleansers back then yet we were told that they have the most gorgeous looking skin even when they're already old. On the contrary to my sad skin story, I started getting breakouts and other skin problems when I was in high school. Up till now, all I ever wanted to get is clean, healthy and smooth skin. Please slap me because I am dirt lazy to even drink 2L of plain water daily, which alone can give me excellent, healthy skin. How..... :(
Days passed, and suddenly, I found myself sitting in a spacious room with a bunch of gorgeous ladies and we were there to discover about the latest facial cleansing brush from Clinique, which is called the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush ^_^ Clinique came out with this sonic brush with aim to help users get clearer skin and making this Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush as the new bestie to Clinique's 3-Steps Skincare System. After all, living a lonely life is not good for your health and happiness isn't it? Even a skincare regime needs a best friend!
The Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is a very lightweight facial cleansing brush that comes with 2 colours bristles. Its green bristled tip is to be used to reach the nook and crannies of your nose and T-Zone, while the remaining white bristles are meant for our cheeks, as it is softer than the green bristles. Bear in mind that this Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is NOT AN EXFOLIATING brush. It is born to help us cleanse our skin better, hence the use of sonic vibration on this brush. It's brush head does not rotate, and this brush works by sonic vibration of its handle which leads to the left-right soft vibrating motion on the bristles.
I was told that the brush vibrates, to bring out the impurities clogging our skin. The sonic vibration used in facial brushes are known to give a very soft, non-abrasive effect on skin that even the sensitive skin will have no problem to use it. During the event, a demo took place where they used the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush on a piece of tissue paper as the skin. Guess what? The tissue does not even tear! What a successful demo on how gentle the brush is ^_^
I got to bring home a set of Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush (USB variant) and I am happy to share with you guys my verdict on it. First of all, only the USB variant is available in Malaysia and you can get it from Clinique counters or website. A fully charged brush can last 180 minutes, which if used daily for 1-2 minutes can last you up to 3 months ;) It has a blinking LED indicator right below the brush head which tells when the brush is charging, in need to be charged, and fully charged. Next, it has a sturdy semi-transparent cap/brush head protector which is super awesome as it protects the bristles from dirt and damage(s) especially when chucked into your bag for travel. Thirdly, the brush is waterproof, super-duper awesome again because you don't have to worry about damaging it in the shower.
To use the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, simply press the only button it has, and it will vibrate for 30 seconds only and after that it automatically stops. Users are recommended to glide the brush around the face for 30 seconds to 1 minute only. Just use it with your favourite facial cleanser and then wash off with water and pat dry your face. I have been using this brush for more than 3 weeks and I shall say that the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is a very well made brush for my facial cleansing routine. My skin does not favor harsh facial brushes and Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is very gentle that I don't get any random breakouts while using it, or any discomfort at all. I feel that my skin is properly cleansed and it gets softer + brighter after each use of this brush.
Then again, I should point out that this Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is not an exfoliating brush that does the heavier job of getting dead skin off your face (don't compare this with Clarisonic, they're not the same at all). I still scrub my face once a week after I started using this brush, and 1-2 hormonal acne still visits when it is that time of the month. However, I see that the pores on my nose are less visible/blocked than before, which is a very good thing and explains that the green bristles on Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush works up to expectation in cleansing my T-zone. My cheeks are softer too, thanks to the white bristles!
Overall, I'll say that Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is a good facial cleansing tool if you are looking for a sleek, yet decent brush to be incorporated in your cleansing routine. I cannot comment if it is magical on troubled skin (I mean, if you have lots of zits and you expect this brush to clear it off) as it is not my condition. If you want that "I-am-confident-that-my-skin-is-properly-cleansed" feeling + satisfaction, then it is time to invest, get one Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush for yourself ;)

You made it sound so tempting to buy, but then bila tengok harga. Ok kena fakir balik. LOL
ReplyDeletebut it is really worth investing in! try kumpul duit monthly, then boleh dapat satu ^_^
DeleteThanks for sharing! The price is affordable compare to rest in market. :)
ReplyDeletecompared to Clarisonic, Philips Visapure and Mary Kay's brush, then Clinique is more reasonable. But for students' pocket, it is definitely not friendly XD
DeleteI second Mira's comment haha!

I am grateful for the rezeki I got, hehehe
Deletean automatic facial cleanser is definitely on my 2015 wishlist. Can't decide between this, Clarisonic.. hmm~ girls' dilemma!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that it's kinda expensive, but to think that this gonna help my skincare to work better.. especially I spent a lot on it.. hehe Mudah-mudahan Allah murahkan rezeki supaya Mira dapat beli satu.. hikhik

Make sure you get expert's advice before investing in one ;) sometimes the cheaper ones do better compared to the most expensive ones. 1 thing I figured about using facial brushes, your skin type and your skincare regime determines which type of brush you ACTUALLY need ;)
Deleteokay now i should reconsider buying clarisonic haha >_<

well dear, in buying facial cleansing brushes, you need to know :
Delete-how does the brush work? different brush different brand different way of working
-what is your skin's need? match with how the brush works
-your budget
-do you really need the brush to make your skin better, or you just want it because it exists? look at your budget again, make sure it is a worthy investment :)
