Assalamualaikum and hello!

I was given the opportunity to attend the closing ceremony of 2013 Eulogy Writing Competition a few days back. The competition was organized by Asia's first online obituary website, Obpedia.com in conjunction with YouthsToday.com "to promote Filial Piety among college youths and also to promote English writing in colleges". 

The title of the eulogy writing was "Appreciating Our Ancestors and Loved Ones", with a theme of "Cherished Moments". The elements portrayed in the competitors' eulogies include memorial, beautiful memories, treasured moments, honouring, legacy and tributes. Winners were Jassie Looi, Kum Pheng Han and Lisa Yeo, and all of them walked away with cash prizes of RM200, RM1500 and RM800 respectively.

The prize giving ceremony was officiated by Mr.Kevin Leow, the Director of Obpedia.com and Mr.Rahman Hussein, the CEO of Akademi Belia.
